The firm is currently seeking a Benefits Analyst to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills to support employees and managers in administering health and well-being benefit programs and leave of absence processes. This role will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective program execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the subject matter expert on accommodations, ergonomics, and workers' compensation within the HR department
• Support the Senior Leave of Absence Administrator in managing parental, medical, and personal leaves of absence for employees and their managers
• Audit payroll related to leave of absence to ensure accuracy and validate results
• Interpret and administer leave policies in compliance with applicable federal and state laws (e.g., FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA)
• Collaborate with payroll, finance, HRIS, HR Operations, and HR Business Partners to resolve issues effectively
• Conduct weekly benefits orientation sessions for new hires to familiarize them with available programs
• Assist with the annual benefits open enrollment process for health and welfare programs
• Manage employee inquiries in Workday regarding mid-year enrollment changes due to life events and approve benefit transactions within the Workday system
• Liaise directly with benefit carriers and vendors to resolve eligibility, service, and claims issues
• Provide administrative support for various tasks and coordinate relevant events as needed
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in benefits and leave administration within a professional services or similar organization
• Experience working with third-party administrators, carriers, and vendors is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree required; relevant certifications are a plus
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Capacity to work collaboratively with employees at all professional levels
• High degree of discretion and independent judgment in handling confidential information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); Workday experience preferred
