The Role
As HR Operations Manager at Observe, you will play a vital part in developing, optimizing, and scaling HR processes, programs, and systems that enable our rapid growth. Reporting to the VP Finance at our San Mateo HQ, you will partner closely with HR, recruiting, finance, IT, and department heads to deliver operational excellence.
This is an opportunity to help build Observe’s HR operations from an early stage as we expand.
What You’ll Do
Lead and manage core HR processes including onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and HRIS/ATS data management.
Partner with recruiting, finance, IT, and leadership teams to define and drive day-to-day HR operations processes and ensure a seamless employee lifecycle.
Develop, refine, and report on key HR metrics and analytics to influence strategic decisions.
Continuously improve HR operational practices and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance as Observe grows globally.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of HR operations or related experience, preferably in high-growth tech companies.
Deep understanding of HR processes, compliance, and systems (including HRIS and ATS platforms).
Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
Experience partnering with executives, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Bonus Points
Experience building HR or HR Operations infrastructure and processes from scratch in a startup environment.
Familiarity with scaling HR operations or employer branding initiatives.
Exposure to recruiting operations or cross-functional talent initiatives.
Ability to expand the HR operations function to support new business needs.
