- Lead the resolution of complex employee relations issues, including sensitive investigations, conflict mediation, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure Sephora's HR policies and practices remain compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and wage & hour requirements.
- Analyze ER and compliance trends and metrics to surface meaningful insights and drive proactive, enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures, delivering guidance and targeted training to HR teams and business leaders across the organization.
- Partner cross-functionally with Legal, HR, Labor Relations, and Business Leaders to support company-wide initiatives and ensure the consistent application of policies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the SVP, Talent, and senior leadership on all matters related to employee relations and HR compliance.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 6 direct reports and 10 indirect reports, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth.
- Navigate complex, ambiguous, and fast-moving workplace situations with sound judgment, discretion, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Drive a consistent, equitable, and values-aligned approach to managing workplace issues across all channels and business functions.
What You'll Bring:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Employee Relations, HR Compliance, or related HR leadership roles, including a minimum of 5 years within a retail environment.
- Deep expertise in multi-state federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance, with a strong command of EEO, ADA, FMLA, and wage & hour regulations.
- A proven track record of leading and resolving complex employee relations matters, including sensitive workplace investigations.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including senior leadership.
- Experience leading teams, managing organizational change, and navigating ambiguity in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the ability to translate ER and compliance data into actionable strategies.
- A collaborative leadership style and proven experience operating effectively within matrixed organizations.
