Description

Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior HR Manager level HR Business Partner, located in Livermore, CA. This position supports a client group consisting of site-level manufacturing operations and supporting functions in a dispersed worksite environment (five Bay Area locations: Livermore, San Leandro, Fremont, Santa Clara, and Scotts Valley). The role provides strategic business partnering with site leadership and carries out a broad range of HR activities in areas such as organizational effectiveness, employee relations, talent management, workforce planning and HR administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Partnership
    • Partner with senior leaders to align organization, workforce and talent strategies with business priorities.
    • Provide guidance across the spectrum of HR matters 
    • Act as trusted advisor and coach 
  • Talent & Workforce Management  
    • Identify and work with site leadership to implement employee retention strategies and practices 
    • Support workforce planning, succession discussions, and leadership development activities.
    • Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition COE to address hiring needs.
    • Manage employee relations (ER) matters by applying expertise in mediation, conflict resolution and employment law in support of a positive and high-performing work environment.
  • Organizational Effectiveness
    • Partner with the business on change initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness and support transformation efforts. 
    • Support and coach leaders in assessing and aligning their organizations and talent to meet the needs of the business, and in managing transitions in support of transformation efforts.
    • Identify opportunities for improvement in teamwork and productivity, and make recommendations to improve communication, collaboration and team effectiveness. 
  • Employee Experience 
    • Partner with sight leadership to identify and implement practices that promote a positive and high-performance work environment centered around Ichor’s Core Values.
    •  Train frontline managers in the fundamentals of people management 
  • HR Program Delivery & COE Collaboration
    • Support the business in executing annual talent management cycles including goal setting, performance reviews, compensation planning and focal and org and talent planning.
    • Partner with COE teams to deliver local or enterprise-level HR programs and solutions
    • Provide training to the business when implementing or cycling HR programs and initiatives
  • HR Analytics & Insights
    • Use data and analytics to identify trends, inform decisions and improve outcomes.
    • Share data and insights with leaders to influence and strengthen talent decisions, workforce planning and management practices
    • Operate in the Oracle Cloud HR system to maintain and obtain workforce data

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive multi-discipline HR experience, including a combination of management and other business-facing HR roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • PHR or SHRM-CP or similar certification 
  • Strong foundational knowledge of labor laws and regulations including federal, state, and local laws
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound HR decisions by applying knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, HR expertise, and business insight.

  • In depth knowledge of two or more HR functional areas (e.g., Compensation, Benefits, Learning & OD, ER, Leaves Administration)

  • Experience supporting senior leaders in corporate and frontline labor environments.

  • Ability to coach, counsel, and partner with leaders at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to establish trust and credibility with employees at all levels across the sites 
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, while possessing reliable problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in gathering and analyzing HR data (using HRIS system, Excel functions, etc.) to obtain insights and inform decision-making. 
  • Responsive to customer needs, ability to identify priorities and adjust wisely
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders while navigating a dynamic, fast-changing environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Acumen in using and learning technology including HRIS systems (Oracle Cloud preferred), MS Office suite of applications. Intermediate ability in Excel (pivot tables, V-Look-up, etc.)
  • Ability to travel between the sites as needed to provide HR support
