This is your chance to make an impact with our growing team! You will partner with leaders across the organization as a strategic partner, consultant, and steward of the overall employee experience. You'll be a trusted advisor and partner in continued development of the employee relations function as we search scalable solutions to support our rapid growth. Under the guidance of and through a partnership with the Employee Relations Senior Director, you will be an ambassador for our overall principles, values, programs and policies, driving a global, diverse, performance-based work environment.
The impact you will have:
- Performance Management: Consult with managers and provide guidance to address complex employee performance concerns, including Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and involuntary termination process.
- Guide and train managers on performance management approaches in alignment with company philosophy.
- Workplace investigations: Lead end-to-end investigations by gathering and analyzing facts, applying relevant policies, guidelines and laws to reaching findings and providing clear recommendations. Partner closely with Employment Legal, Compliance team members and other internal investigative bodies as needed. Prepare investigation reports, track work in the case management system and draft disciplinary documentation as needed.
- Reorganizations: Advise and support managers and People Partners through the full lifecycle of role eliminations and organizational changes, including risk assessment, communication planning, and termination.
- Medical accommodations: Own and manage the medical accommodation process, including intake, assessment, and implementation of reasonable accommodations, while balancing employee needs, business requirements, and legal compliance.
- Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate with our People Partner team to support investigations, employee disciplinary issues, performance management situations, and reorganizations.
What we look for:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Law degree or graduate degree in labor/industrial relations desired.
- 8+ years of Employee Relations experience, with a focus on strategic partnership with managers up through the Senior Director level.
- Ability to multi-task, deal with ambiguity, influence decision-makers and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in advising and coaching managers on performance management situations
- Minimum of 5 years direct experience in conducting corporate investigations of sensitive workplace concerns
- Capability to coordinate internal resources in solution development for emerging issues
