This PRN, remote clinical leadership role focuses on ensuring high-quality, compliant, and efficient care delivery across ambulatory surgery centers nationwide. You will step into assignments as needed, often traveling extensively to support centers in maintaining regulatory readiness, patient safety standards, and operational excellence. Acting as a clinical and administrative resource, you will assess performance, guide improvement initiatives, and strengthen quality and safety programs across multiple sites. The role blends hands-on operational support with strategic oversight, requiring adaptability and strong leadership in dynamic healthcare environments. You will collaborate closely with physicians, administrators, and corporate teams to resolve challenges and elevate patient experience. This position is ideal for a seasoned clinical leader who thrives in variable assignments and enjoys driving measurable improvements in care delivery.

Accountabilities:
  • Provide on-site clinical and operational leadership support for ambulatory surgery centers on a PRN, assignment-based schedule.
  • Evaluate compliance with clinical policies, CMS requirements, state regulations, and accreditation standards, ensuring survey readiness.
  • Lead or support quality improvement, patient safety, infection control, risk management, and QAPI initiatives across assigned centers.
  • Conduct assessments, identify performance gaps, and develop actionable improvement plans to enhance clinical outcomes and operations.
  • Serve as interim administrator or clinical subject matter expert when needed, supporting staffing, operations, and clinical workflows.
  • Monitor quality metrics, patient experience data, and regulatory indicators, escalating risks and reporting trends to leadership.
  • Support staff education, competency evaluation, and best practice adoption to strengthen clinical performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in ambulatory surgery centers, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, AAAHC and Joint Commission standards, and ASC quality requirements.
  • Proven experience in clinical quality, patient safety, and operational leadership within healthcare settings.
  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 90%) across assigned locations nationwide.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex clinical environments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams.
  • High adaptability, organization, and ability to manage multiple assignments in a PRN, fast-paced structure.
