This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling global People Operations systems and processes that empower a distributed workforce. The Director will lead the evolution of the HR tech stack, optimize operational workflows, and ensure compliance across multiple regions. You will drive efficiency through automation and AI, develop robust SOPs, and manage total rewards programs to attract and retain top talent. This position involves cross-functional collaboration with Finance, IT, Legal, and People teams to translate strategy into actionable, scalable processes. As a leader, you will inspire a team of People Operations specialists while building operational rigor that supports global growth. Your work will directly impact employee experience, organizational effectiveness, and the company’s ability to scale strategically.

Accountabilities:
- Lead the integration, optimization, and automation of core People systems, ensuring data integrity, seamless workflows, and a single source of truth
- Develop and maintain global People policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance and operational consistency
- Oversee global compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with organizational goals
- Manage Employer of Record relationships and global employment structures to enable compliant international hiring practices
- Provide operational leadership for People processes across the full employee lifecycle, from hire to exit, maintaining high-quality employee experiences
- Build and develop a high-performing People Operations team, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and accountability
- Partner cross-functionally to translate HR strategy into actionable, scalable operational execution
Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally in high-growth tech or scaling organizations
- Proven experience implementing and integrating HRIS, payroll, and global People systems (e.g., HiBob, Deel, Paylocity, Carta)
- Deep expertise in process refinement, operational rigor, SOP development, and SOC2 compliance
- Strong analytical skills, including compensation modeling, equity strategy, and data-driven workforce decision-making
- Experience managing People Operations across multiple international regions, with knowledge of labor laws, global benefits, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, change management, and project leadership capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; advanced HR certifications (SHRM-SCP or SPHR) preferred
