This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Global People Systems based in the United States.

The Director, Global People Systems will lead the strategy, optimization, and evolution of HR technology platforms supporting global People operations.
This role will drive the effective use of Workday and other People systems to improve processes, data quality, analytics, and employee experiences.
You will partner with HR, Technology, and business leaders to deliver scalable solutions that support organizational growth and operational excellence.
The position combines strategic leadership, technical expertise, and change management to modernize global People operations.
You will lead a high-performing team, oversee critical system initiatives, and establish frameworks for data-driven decision-making.

Accountabilities:

The Director, Global People Systems will oversee the global HR technology strategy, ensuring systems performance, operational efficiency, data integrity, and alignment with business needs.

  • Develop and execute a global People Systems strategy aligned with organizational objectives, including technology optimization, analytics capabilities, and end-user adoption.
  • Lead the management, configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Workday and related HR technology platforms.
  • Partner with Technology teams on system integrations, security architecture, platform enhancements, and technical roadmap planning.
  • Build and manage a high-performing People Systems team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Establish frameworks to maintain accurate, secure, and compliant employee data across global systems.
  • Develop forward-looking strategies for people analytics, reporting capabilities, and business insights that support informed decision-making.
  • Lead People Systems projects from planning through execution, ensuring delivery within timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with HR leaders, business stakeholders, and technology partners to identify opportunities and address evolving People operations needs.
  • Drive AI adoption within People processes by evaluating, implementing, and optimizing AI-powered tools and capabilities.
  • Support compliance initiatives, including readiness for evolving regulatory requirements and operational standards.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced HR technology leader with deep expertise in HRIS platforms, Workday, global People operations, and leading large-scale system initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in HRIS, with significant experience managing and optimizing Workday environments.
  • Proven experience leading global HRIS implementations, operations, and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, People operations best practices, and technology strategy development.
  • Experience building and leveraging HR data analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leaders across HR, Technology, and business functions.
  • Experience managing vendors, system partners, and external technology providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global, and evolving environment.
  • Experience driving AI adoption and transformation initiatives within business or HR functions is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday configuration, implementation, reporting, and optimization.
