This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Learning and Continuous Improvement in the United States.

This leadership role is responsible for shaping and driving the systems that enable organizational learning, evidence-based decision-making, and continuous improvement across complex education initiatives. You will design and oversee learning frameworks that connect research, data, and practice to improve program effectiveness and impact. The role requires translating complex quantitative and qualitative insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership. You will lead cross-functional collaboration efforts to ensure alignment between program execution, research, and strategic priorities. In addition, you will manage and develop a team of learning and research professionals, fostering a high-performing and inclusive culture. This is a fully remote role with occasional national travel, offering the opportunity to influence large-scale educational improvement efforts.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the design, governance, and continuous improvement of organizational learning systems and research frameworks to generate actionable insights.
  • Develop and manage measurement strategies to assess inputs, outputs, outcomes, and impact across multiple initiatives and pilot programs.
  • Oversee data analysis and visualization efforts, ensuring insights are accessible, user-centered, and decision-ready for senior stakeholders.
  • Establish and standardize evaluation criteria, stage-gate processes, and performance indicators across research and development cycles.
  • Partner with project leaders to define learning questions, hypotheses, and success metrics aligned with program goals.
  • Ensure high-quality data collection, validation, and integration from multiple sources to support reliable decision-making.
  • Translate complex data and stakeholder inputs into structured learning reports and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead continuous improvement cycles that support adaptation, scaling, and refinement of programs and initiatives.
  • Facilitate executive-level discussions by synthesizing evidence into clear insights, tradeoffs, and actionable next steps.
  • Manage and mentor a team of research and learning professionals, ensuring alignment, performance, and professional growth.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in program management, research, evaluation, or learning systems roles, including at least 3 years managing teams.
  • Strong expertise in research and development methodologies, program evaluation, or improvement science frameworks.
  • Proven experience designing and managing complex learning or measurement systems in organizational or educational settings.
  • Advanced data literacy with experience in data analysis, visualization, and translating insights for executive audiences.
  • Experience working with both quantitative and qualitative data to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of coaching, developing, and managing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to lead organizational change using human-centered and inclusive design approaches.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, particularly in influencing senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience in K–12 education, school systems, or instructional improvement contexts is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and adapt strategies based on emerging data and insights.
