Position Overview

A leading advisory organization is seeking a motivated Health & Benefits Sales Professional to join its West Zone team. This role is ideal for a true hunter — someone who excels at building relationships, opening new markets, and closing complex, consultative sales opportunities. You will help employers navigate key challenges in employee benefits, healthcare strategy, financial security, and workforce development.

Compensation

Base Salary: $151,000 – $170,000 Total Earnings: Strong six‑figure potential with performance‑based incentives

This role rewards high achievers with competitive base pay and significant upside tied to sales success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow and Manage a High‑Value Book — Maintain and expand a portfolio of complex accounts while consistently achieving sales goals.
  • Prospect and Engage New Clients — Conduct outreach, cold calls, presentations, and meetings to generate new opportunities.
  • Develop Tailored Proposals — Create compelling proposals and RFP responses that address client needs and communicate value.
  • Lead the Full Sales Cycle — Manage pricing discussions, negotiations, and closing activities.
  • Analyze Market Trends — Identify new business opportunities and areas for account expansion.
  • Build Executive‑Level Relationships — Engage with C‑suite leaders to deepen relationships and introduce new solutions.
  • Represent the Organization — Attend conferences and industry events to expand your network and stay informed on market trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience.
  • Experience selling into organizations with 1,000–5,000 employees.
  • Strong understanding of Employee Benefits or Health & Benefits consulting.
  • Proven ability to access and influence C‑suite decision‑makers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Life & Health License.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Ability to manage long, complex sales cycles with confidence.
