We are seeking a Senior Program Manager who will lead and own the development and execution of professional development programs under Guardant Health University (GHU). Reporting to the Director of Learning & Development, this role will be accountable for driving program results, impacting organizational learning initiatives, and contributing to Guardant’s strategic development goals. This individual will also play a pivotal role in shaping new methods, procedures, and programs to ensure the continuous evolution of our offerings.
At Guardant, here is what you would do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):
Program Ownership & Accountability: Manage the end-to-end execution of learning and development (L&D) programs initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines. Support the planning, scheduling, and coordination of resources across multiple programs, end-to-end communications, engagement and success of programs.
Program Development, Experience Design, & Execution: Lead the evolution of existing programs and the creation of new ones. Oversee the logistical execution of L&D programs such as new employee onboarding, workshops, e-learning, and leadership development initiatives. Partner with key stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and continuous improvement of L&D offerings. Innovate methods, procedures, and approaches to ensure our L&D initiatives meet emerging organizational needs and reflect best practices in leadership and professional development. This role will be responsible for raising the bar on all learning and development experiences, and expanding programs globally.
Strategic Communication Planning: This role will lead the advancement of strategic communications planning to engage learners through micro learns, learning programs/workshops, and other development opportunities. Communication the value of each program, and building out detailed communication plans to engage more learners will be a valuable part of this role.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional and intact teams to coordinate program deliverables, manage communication strategies, and ensure that projects meet business requirements and objectives. This role will also be a point of contact for many people leaders, and need to advise and coach at a senior level.
Process Documentation & Support: Develop and maintain clear, concise process documentation and project plans. Ensure all activities are well-documented and align with Guardant Health’s learning and development goals. This role will help develop and refine our ways of tracking learning engagement, enhancing learner participation, and evaluating programs and vendors.
Vendor & Resource Management: Coordinate with external vendors and internal resources to ensure the quality of L&D solutions. Monitor and maximize vendor contracts and ensure that deliverables are met on time and within scope.
Change Management: Assist in the implementation of change management planning and strategies to support the adoption of new L&D initiatives. Engage stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption during program rollouts.
Measurement & Reporting: Track project performance, including scheduling, budgets, and results, ensuring data is captured to evaluate the effectiveness of L&D programs. Provide reports on project progress and key metrics to leadership.
Coaching and Development Consulting – Coaching for growth on teams and leaders will be a key part of this role, so an ability to be adaptable to supporting varied growth needs is key.
Qualifications:
Experience: 10+ years of program management experience, ideally in learning and development, HR, or a related field. Deep expertise in employee development strategy, design, or learning.
Project Management Expertise: Strong project management skills, including experience in leading complex, multi-phase initiatives from initiation through completion.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate project progress and challenges to various stakeholders clearly and effectively. Ability to build effective communications that enhance engagement.
Collaboration & Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive projects to successful completion.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain timelines, and ensure deliverables are met on time.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management, LMS tools and systems. Proficiency in Workday and Microsoft Office Suite, and Litmos is preferred.
Preferred certifications: GallupClifton Strengths, DiSC, Crucial Conversations, or coaching certification are appreciated.

Hybrid Work Model: This section is applicable to onsite employees who are eligible for hybrid work location as specified by management and related policies. Guardant has defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment.
