About the Team:
TRACE connects upstream supplier data with Walmart’s inventory, merchandising, and operational systems to support traceability, freshness, supplier transparency, and supply chain intelligence.
Walmart’s Order Management System supports domestic, imports, and international purchase-order lifecycles at enterprise scale. The team builds modern user experiences and services while maintaining strong standards for quality, accessibility, security, and reliability.
What you’ll do:
Design, build, test, and support user-facing capabilities across TRACE and OMS.
Develop responsive and accessible React and TypeScript applications using microfrontend patterns.
Build reusable components and contribute to shared frontend frameworks and engineering standards.
Develop Node.js services and integrate user experiences with GraphQL, REST, and Java-based APIs.
Implement automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, telemetry, monitoring, and production-support capabilities.
Diagnose defects and performance issues across browser, API, and service layers.
Translate product and UX requirements into maintainable technical implementations.
Use AI services and GenAI-assisted engineering tools where appropriate to improve functionality and delivery efficiency.
What you’ll bring:
Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript or JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Understanding of component architecture, state management, responsive design, accessibility, and browser performance.
Experience with Node.js and GraphQL or REST API integration.
Familiarity with microfrontends, Java services, and distributed applications.
Working knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD, cloud platforms, containers, and application observability.
Understanding of secure coding, authentication, authorization, and production troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently deliver well-defined capabilities.
Effective collaboration and communication across product, design, and engineering teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
