Position Overview

The Medical Director will:

  • Provide high-level clinical oversight and leadership for the veterinary team

  • Deliver quality medical and surgical care to small animal patients

  • Guide medical protocols, support continuous improvement, and uphold standards of care

  • Mentor associate veterinarians and support staff in clinical and professional development

  • Collaborate with the practice manager on hospital operations, staffing, and client service

  • Promote a positive team culture that encourages communication, growth, and patient-focused care

  • Work a flexible schedule that supports a healthy work-life balance

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution

  • Active or eligible California veterinary license

  • Strong clinical and surgical experience in small animal practice

  • Prior leadership or mentorship experience preferred

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Passion for patient care, team development, and practice leadership
