What You’ll Be Doing

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: 
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions that accurately reflect role requirements.
    • Source candidates through various channels, including headhunting, job boards, social media, in-market and national networking events, and industry associations.
    • Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications, skills, and cultural fit with VetnCare.
    • Coordinate and schedule interviews between hiring managers and candidates, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
    • Maintain candidate management system and databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of candidate progress and communications.
  • Strategic Sourcing: 
  • Use insights from the data to recommend actionable strategies for improvement. For instance, suggest optimizing sourcing channels, enhancing candidate experiences, or adjusting job descriptions to attract better candidates.
  • Leverage VetnCare’s network and industry relationships to proactively identify high-potential candidates.
  • Partnership Building: 
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify recruitment needs, understand role requirements, and provide expert guidance on candidate selection.
  • Provide market insights and recruitment best practices to hiring managers to enhance their understanding of candidate markets.
  • Ensure job requisitions are properly approved before launching recruitment efforts. 
  • Gather and relay timely feedback from hiring managers to candidates, maintaining a positive candidate experience.
  • Talent Pipeline Development: 
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and engagement with veterinary schools and industry organizations.
  • Represent VetnCare at job fairs, industry events, and community outreach efforts to promote the company as an employer of choice.
  • Effectively manage candidate pipelines through the candidate management system to ensure timely follow-ups, ongoing engagement, and efficient talent pooling.
  • Promote and manage VetnCare’s Refer a Friend Initiative to encourage internal referrals and strengthen the candidate pipeline.
  • Recruitment Marketing: 
  • Create compelling job postings that reflect VetnCare’s brand  attract qualified candidates across multiple platforms, including Indeed, Hound, and LinkedIn.
  • Ensure job postings are engaging, clear, optimized with relevant keywords, and regularly updated for accuracy.
  • Enhance VetnCare’s employer profile on job sites by adding engaging content, such as compelling descriptions, photos, and videos, to showcase the company’s culture, values, and benefits.
  • Actively search job board databases to identify potential candidates and engage them through personalized outreach.
  • Use analytics tools to track job posting performance, identify trends, and adjust recruitment strategies based on data insights.
  • Metrics and Reporting: 
  • Regularly track key recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, candidate drop-off rates, and offer acceptance rates. 
  • Analyze trends and present data-driven insights to continuously improve hiring strategies and outcomes.


  • Compliance: 
  • Ensure all recruitment activities adhere to employment laws, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Utilize the CMS effectively to maintain organized candidate pipelines, accurate vacancy records, and a smooth hiring process.
  • Uphold a professional, positive candidate experience at every stage of the recruitment journey.


We’re looking for a DVM Recruiter who can:

  • Demonstrate proven success in sourcing and hiring top clinical talent, ideally within the veterinary or healthcare industries
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines to meet hiring goals
  • Apply data-driven strategies to improve recruitment outcomes
  • Use platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Glassdoor, and industry-specific tools effectively
  • Build trust and strong relationships with candidates and stakeholders through exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Stay highly organized and detail-oriented, managing multiple roles and deadlines simultaneously
  • Act as a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Bring fresh ideas and creative approaches to recruitment challenges



Highly Desired:

  • Experience in the veterinary or human medicine  industry


This role is a hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay/Nor.Cal area. Anticipated travel is 20%


Salary Range: $100,000-$115,000 depending on experience. This role does not support relocation.
