This role is central to ensuring clinicians are fully and accurately credentialed to deliver care across hospital programs and healthcare networks. You will manage end-to-end credentialing and reappointment workflows within a defined portfolio of providers. The position plays a key role in maintaining compliance with hospital bylaws, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Accountabilities:

In this role, you will oversee the full credentialing and privileging lifecycle for assigned clinicians while ensuring compliance and timely processing across all requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate provider records, coordinating approvals, and supporting onboarding and ongoing administrative needs.

  • Manage credentialing and reappointment processes, including hospital privilege applications and documentation review
  • Verify clinician credentials such as education, training, licensure, malpractice coverage, NPDB data, and work history
  • Track application progress, committee schedules, and approval timelines to ensure deadlines are met
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinician records in internal systems (CRM, SharePoint, and related platforms)
  • Monitor renewals for licenses, DEA certifications, and other required credentials
  • Support onboarding coordination, including hospital orientation scheduling and compliance communication
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Payor Enrollment and medical staff offices to ensure seamless workflows

Requirements

This role requires strong experience in credentialing operations within a healthcare environment, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. Candidates should be highly detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a regulated, deadline-driven setting.

  • Minimum of 2 years of credentialing experience in healthcare administration or a medical staff office
  • High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
  • Strong understanding of credentialing standards such as NCQA, JCAHO, NPDB, and licensing requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clinician and stakeholder interaction
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume, accuracy-sensitive work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access); experience with QGenda is a plus
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and credentialing workflows preferred
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet strict deadlines independently and collaboratively
