This role sits at the center of a fast-scaling People function and is responsible for designing and strengthening the operational backbone that supports the entire employee lifecycle. You will own the processes, standards, and governance that ensure People Operations runs with precision, consistency, and scalability across a growing global workforce. Acting as a key builder rather than a maintainer, you will create structure where it is needed most and continuously improve how work flows across onboarding, offboarding, and internal mobility. The role partners closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and technical HRIS specialists to ensure seamless execution across systems and processes. You will also play a critical role in payroll and benefits coordination, operational reporting, and compliance oversight. Accountabilities:
- Own and continuously improve end-to-end People Operations processes, including onboarding, offboarding, job changes, and employee lifecycle workflows, ensuring consistency, scalability, and accuracy across the organization.
- Design, document, and govern standard operating procedures and workflows, ensuring institutional knowledge is centralized, accessible, and version-controlled.
- Partner with HRIS and systems specialists to optimize workflows, identify automation opportunities, and ensure seamless data flow across HR, payroll, and benefits systems.
- Support payroll and benefits operations by ensuring data integrity, internal controls, and timely execution of employee changes and benefit-related processes.
- Lead People Operations reporting and analytics, maintaining dashboards for headcount, turnover, compliance, onboarding performance, and operational KPIs.
- Serve as an operational escalation point for complex HR issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuity across critical People processes.
- Drive cross-functional alignment with HR, Finance, Legal, and leadership on workforce planning, compliance, audits, and organizational changes.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or a related role within a high-growth or technology-driven environment.
- Proven experience owning employee lifecycle processes end-to-end, with strong capability in building and maintaining SOPs and scalable workflows.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, HiBob, Paylocity), with a strong focus on data integrity, process execution, and operational governance.
- Strong understanding of payroll and benefits operations, including data flow, reconciliation, and internal controls.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, IT, and Compliance teams in complex organizational environments.
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance frameworks, including I-9, EEO-1, FMLA, and multi-state employment regulations.
- Highly detail-oriented, systems-minded, and comfortable operating in fast-paced environments with competing priorities.
- Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to translate operational complexity into clear processes and guidance.
